Dear Reader,
I am pleased to invite you to participate in CardioExchange, an exciting new cardiology community in the early stage of development by the New England Journal of Medicine and Journal Watch.
Harlan Krumholz, who is also the editor of Journal Watch Cardiology, is the editor of CardioExchange. The associate editors are Anju Nohria and Susan Cheng. Richard Lange and L David Hillis are the moderators of the Interventional Cardiology group, Andrew Kates and James de Lemos are the moderators of the Fellowship Training Group, and JoAnne Foody is the moderator of the Prevention group. More groups are planned in the future, and there are several contributing bloggers. Although the site is still in its infancy, I am sure that you will find a great deal of valuable information on the site already.
Simultaneously, I am pleased to announce that I will be the news editor of CardioExchange. In that capacity I will provide a daily summary of news of interest to the CardioExchange audience. Initially, at least, my work on CardioExchange will be part time, and I will continue to write CardioBrief.
Because CardioExchange is trying to create a trusted and independent professional environment, you have to request an invitation and complete a profile, and await approval (which usually comes within the hour). Currently the site only allows medical professionals to join.
I look forward to seeing you both here on CardioBrief and at CardioExchange as well, and I invite your comments and suggestions about both endeavors.
Best,
Larry Husten
Congratulations, Larry!
